Thorpe

In an attempt to get over the knitted dress fiasco, I bought a skein of crazy variegated yarn to knit Sophie another hat. Instead of knitting my favored roll brimmed hat, I went out on a limb and tried a new pattern, Thorpe, knit from the top down, with ear flaps and a crocheted (!) edge. Oh, and sassy braided ties :)

I almost didn't do the crocheted edge (I tried to crochet before I started knitting and I.Could.Not.Get.It) but I persevered and I love, love, love the finished product! It was worth the crochet trauma :)

I see a lot of Thorpes in Sophie's next winter wardrobe . . .
