Timeline of a very, very long day:
5:00 am: Up and at 'em.
5:45 am: Car arrives to take us to airport.
6:20 am: Arrive at Newark Airport.
7:20 am: Board airplane.
7:40 am: Plane might be taking off early!
7:45 am: Missing a passenger.
8:00 am: Still missing a passenger. The pilot asks if there is a doctor on board. There appears to be a medical something-or-rather in the back of the plane.
8:30 am: Plane starts moving and medical crisis appears to have passed.
9:00 am: Medical crisis has NOT passed and the plane is returning to the gate for the EMTs to escort the gentleman off the plane.
9:30 am: Join departure queue and find out that we are 28th in line. 28TH!
10:00 am: Plane finally takes off.
1:00 pm (4:00 pm EST): Plane lands in Seattle.
1:30 pm (4:30 pm EST): Collect luggage and get on the road.
5:15 pm (8:15 pm EST): Sophie falls asleep, possibly for the night, en route to Mom and Joe's.
6:15 pm (9:15 pm EST): Back to Dad and Judie's, where Sophie is down for the count.
6:30-9:00 pm (9:30-midnight EST): Struggle to stay awake before collapsing into bed ZZZ
